Sam Cooke was one of the greatest soul singers of the 1960's.
He was shot three times in December 1964 while staying in a cheap motel.
Apparently he went crazy after a girl he met refused him sex and she then ran off.
Half naked, Sam chased her but ran into the wrong room and grabbed another
woman named Bertha who, thinking she was being attacked, shot him dead.
His last words were "Lady, you shot me!"
