The photographs below shows Mr. Mark Tatum, 45, who suffered from a rare flesh eating fungal infection called Mucormycosis. The fungae, found in soil, spoiled food and dust restricts blood flow to the nose, mouth and eventually the brain. Doctors had to remove his eyes, nose, sinus and the roof of his mouth in order to save him.
Mr Tatum now has a fake face to wear when out in public.
